Auctions now closed, and a note on late bids

As you already know, our auctions are now closed.

We will be contacting all our winning bidders over the next few days with instructions as to how to proceed – it might take us a little while to get to everyone, but we will contact you!

Since we closed last night, we’ve had some queries about the cut-off point for placed bids.

To clarify, we closed the auctions at midnight, and disabled the comment boxes on all the items. The system takes a minute or two to process this: it’s something we couldn’t avoid, and on a couple of items, one or two bids made just after midnight went through. Unfortunately, we are unable to include these in the auction.

In the interest of fairness, we will only be accepting bids placed up to & including 12:00, according to the WordPress comment timestamps, in line with the advertised closing time.

The highest bid (or bids, for multiple items) which were registered at or by 12:00 (midnight) will be the winning bids.

We appreciate this may have caused some concern, and apologise for any confusion or disappointment.

In the meantime, thank you so much to all our wonderful supporters and donors, and to everyone who has got involved in bidding, and in spreading the word about Genre for Japan. It’s been a greater success than we ever imagined possible, and your generosity has been nothing short of amazing.

We are deeply grateful to have been involved in such a positive experience–and we really can’t thank you enough.

Without all of you, none of this would have been possible – and we hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have!
