Amanda’s Top Picks

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was an amazing day, and we’re so pleased that so many of you have found things you want to bid on. And while we’re on the subject of bidding, talk about generosity… we’ll keep you updated on how much has been pledged to Genre for Japan as the week goes on.

But just in case you still haven’t found something–or you don’t know where to start–we’ll be giving you our highlights from the auction, starting this morning with Amanda’s.

Amanda says:

Suzanne McLeod offering a critique of work, since Suzanne has a very particular eye and understands the strengths and weaknesses of urban fantasy fiction, having read widely in the genre.

The bundle of Angry Robot eBooks – they are one of the most exciting and innovative young publishers and this is a brill opportunity to get onboard with a range of their titles.

Jon Courtenay Grimwood offering a name in his next book – how cool to be forever immortalised!

Finally, Stephen Deas’ trilogy and the chance to get your hands on matching editions, including a novel that isn’t even out yet!

So those are Amanda’s favourites: we’ll have more from the rest of the Genre for Japan team later in the week.

In the meantime, keep bidding and good luck!
